Live local and don't go anywhere else for building materials of all types. They are a builders merchants and the staff deal with builders all day long. As some have commented they may from time to time not have airs and graces of your local pub or DIY conglomerate, but they are a Builders Merchants, what do expect!! I have always found them very helpful, knowledgeable and would heartily recommend them to everyone. There prices are always keen and I always find them cheaper than many selling the same stuff in big Orange buildings or other national builders merchants. For information, no money was exchanged for the writing of this comment and I am not a family member, just a happy customer of over 30 years.

Great place have bought from there for many years staff always helpful until today. I don't expect staff to fall over backwards to serve me but to the guy who served me today with a tube of silicone the words generally used by the staff there are please and thank you !!! it does wonders for customer relationship he would do well to remember them and use them .

Lad behind the till was as useless as a chocolate fire guard. Didn't want to help at all. Called few days before another lad served me and was helpful. So can't complain about all staff. Im sure the other staff know who he is.

Just had a phone call demanding money. Told him I'm at work and will be in Friday. Demanding a payment now over phone. Only spent about 6grand with them in past and pestering me for penny's. All other staff there are spot on but the old bloke who I believe is the owner is a full on ball bag...and I ain't the 1st to say that either. Do everyone a favour and retire with your piss bag
