Privacy notice
Tradies Local is an independent UK marketplace. This notice explains how we use personal data when a homeowner posts a job and when we contact a local trade business about that job.
Homeowners
We use your job details to find suitable local tradespeople, run your account, and keep the marketplace safe. Your name, phone number, email, full postcode and address stay private until you choose to share contact details with a selected tradesperson.
Trade businesses and opportunity messages
If we email or text a business about a nearby homeowner request, that message is optional direct marketing of a local opportunity. It contains only the trade, a broad area (outward postcode), a secure link and how to opt out. It does not include the homeowner's name, phone, email, address or full postcode.
Limited companies and LLPs may be contacted on a legitimate-interests basis. Sole traders, partnerships and unclassified businesses are only emailed or texted with recorded consent or a member opt-in. If we are not sure which applies, we treat the contact as an individual.
You can object at any time. Reply STOP to an opportunity text, use the form below, or email admin@tradieslocal.co.uk. We keep a suppression record so we do not contact you again.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected, object to direct marketing, or complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
