Very big store, staff are always friendly. They have a timbre cutting service which is handy! Probably one of the best B&Q stores I've been to.

Yesterday I had a problem with a new patio set having no screws set or instructions when it arrived from b and q been agents for it but I had a fabulous young man Mathew is his name been there 20years been disabled pensioner he bent over backwards to help us he was so helpful we brought it back to him and he said he would deal with is and he did because later on that day the money was paid back into my PayPal account what a true gentleman he is thank you Mathew for your great kindness and he spoke to his manager about the stress it had been for me and I was compensated with 2 beautiful plants and in this day & age it???s just so wonderful to come across such a really lovely person who cares very much about the people your a true gentleman thank you Patricia Fernandez

It's exactly what you'd expected. Sometimes stock levels are low. There's a garden Centre and a builders' yard. The staff are really helpful and friendly as long as you have your receipt when returning items. They also have working toilets, not just display ones. There's a paint mixing counter and if you take in something the colour you want they can match it.

We had to return a battery operated Erbauer lawn mower purchased at B&Q in Carlisle 8 months ago, but had lost the receipt though we had the record of the payment on our credit card statement. From my first call to B&Q when I was put through to the manager Shakeel he his colleague Aga could not have been more helpful. A credit to the company. They arranged for the defective mover to be changed and Shakeel helped us choose a different cordless one. We are very grateful.
