   Very disappointed to the service from Ideal. Boiler installed 13 months ago and fault started today. Disabled occupant alongside 3 children in the household and first available appointment is in 6 days time. Expected a better level of service for a vulnerable household.

   My ideal boiler is under 3 years old and under warranty. End of January/February it broke down and earliest they could get to me was 6 days later - despite me being in 3rd trimester of pregnancy and with a toddler in house. This was in minus temperatures. It required 2 x visits from their engineer (12 days total with no heating or hot water) to ???fix??? the problem. ???Fixing??? it actually turned out to cause a major leak in my hot water cupboard/stairs/hallway ceiling. This left me with no running water whatsoever. The next engineer they sent out (different guy - 6 days later) had the audacity to threaten my elderly dad in my house simply because he had asked a question about the repair (understandably cautious as we???d just been left with ?????? property damage!). Escalated all this as an internal complaint. Ideal have admitted their engineer should not have even been touching my hot water tank, and a report from an independent contractor supports that ideal were at fault as the damage was directly caused due to their ???repair???. Despite all this evidence, all I???ve received is bog standard copy and pasted customer service emails. They???re refusing to accept liability despite the overwhelming and obvious evidence against them so have no option but to pursue this legally now with my home insurer to recoup costs. Plus no response about threatening behaviour by the engineer a maybe it???s just standard practice for them?? In summary: don???t buy unless you???re happy to be left without heating or hot water for up to a month in winter and want to risk your property being subjected to property damage or worse, threatening behaviour towards yourself. AVOID!

   Please avoid at all cost! I now understand all 1* reviews, and wish would have seen it before we have decided to install one of Ideal boilers in our house. Back in early January 2026 we have experienced a major leak from our boiler. It was Saturday morning and the water was leaking directly onto boilers electrics, therefore we had no choice but to isolate the boiler leaving us with no hot water or heating. At that point the temperatures outside were below 0 and by evening the temperature in the house was 10 degrees. We have immediately contacted Ideal call out who said they can only come on Thursday upcoming week- leaving us with no hot water or heating for nearly a week. Please know we are a young family with baby who had no other alternative accommodation to go to. Our boiler is still in warranty and only been installed 2 years ago. As we couldn???t stay living in conditions like this (especially our baby) we had to pay for a call out. We had try to contact Ideal afterwards to claim for this call out and ask for a free boiler service to check if everything is working as it should. Not to mention the property damage the leak caused. Back and forth emails with Ideal with no resolution. The bare minimum we have expected is for them to come and service the boiler to see if it???s safe and working as it should- nothing. The only thing we got in email is WE HOPE YOUR BOILER IS WORKING CORRECTLY. Absolutely shocking. I would not recommend this brand to anyone that is thinking installing this??? -Katarina

   Avoid at all costs!!! Our Ideal boiler broke down and they claimed the fault wasn???t covered under the warranty, despite only being a few years old, leaving us to pay hundreds of pounds. During the repair, they caused a leak that came through our ceiling, then later denied it ever happened. Their customer service is appalling. Dismissive, unhelpful, and unwilling to take responsibility. Judging by the huge number of other 1-star reviews, this is clearly a pattern. Do not use Ideal boilers.
