The above is the average score for these 3 categories: Pre-evaluation of work needed 2* Although I emailed pictures from all angles for the estimation of the job, at this point it wasn’t pointed out that the chimney was in serious need of repair. James detected cracks in the lead valley but did not mention that the chimney was in need of serious repair. Professionalism and execution 5* The job was approached in a professional manner and was executed swiftly by his team. James comes across as trustworthy, experienced and particular in what he does. He is very friendly and helpful at answering questions, and going the extra mile to keep you happy. I trust that I will have no issues with leaks in the future. Price 1* I am very sad to have to write this: The initial job was quoted as £1750 for replacing the leaking valley and broken tiles and included scaffolding, which seemed reasonable. However it was not till the work had already started that the need of chimney repair was highlighted. This was portrayed as a great risk to the property, and as a customer you feel that you have no choice but to go ahead, and you assume that there is a lot of work involved. However, this extra job was finished within a few hours, so the extra cost of £1000 looks heavily overpriced. I would expect this price if it had to be done from scratch with scaffolding, but with the scaffolding already up and the workers on the roof, £1000 for 2-4 extra hours of repointing and repairs is a very high price and I am not sure how this is justified. Overall 2.7*

James and his team were fantastic from start to finish. Quick to start work and our whole roof was done in three days. He was clear with what needed doing amd provided detailed quotes, photos and videos. Everything was well explained and we are really pleased with the result.

I contacted James for a second opinion on a roof inspection for a property we’re looking to buy. The initial report suggested a full roof replacement, but James took the time to assess it properly and identified three specific areas that needed repair instead, at a fraction of the cost. I really appreciated his transparency, quick response, and integrity. We’ll definitely be using him for the recommended work. Clearly he knows his stuff and cares about the work he does.

The repair was excellent, the price fair, and after days of rain, our ceiling remains completely dry. I can’t recommend James and his team enough—honest, skilled, and reliable.

James did a great job on our London terrace roof. He helped us to preserve the Victorian roots of our house while installing the new roof. His team were great, and very helpful at all stages in the process.
