I would have no hesitation in recommending Dan and his team. They completed a sizeable project to rebuild a kitchen extension for us, including vaulting the ceiling, removing and relaying the floor and relocating a utility room. Work was completed to time and Dan’s cost estimates were accurate. Dan is a very good communicator and always kept us fully updated. He works considerately, listens and consults and offers solutions to the inevitable questions that arise during building projects. Having worked with a number of builders in the past, I would say that Summerlins have a high level of skill and experience as general builders, and they clearly have an excellent range of relationships with local tradesmen and with the planning authorities. We are extremely happy with the outcome, as can hopefully be imagined from the attached ‘before’, ‘during’ and ‘after’ photos.

Originally, we asked Dan to replace a leaking extension roof that was only 3 years old and a legacy left behind by our previous builders. A stressful time, watching the water damage slowly ruin our new living space and the inconvenience of having to redecorate a freshly decorated room. Dan and his team replaced our extension roof and to date (a good 12 months on) we haven’t had any leaks. A huge relief for us! Pleased with the work Dan and Summerlin Builders completed on the extension roof, we asked Dan to complete a front porch. Our porch has been built to a lovely standard and very pleased with the finished result, both internally and externally. Summerlin Builders (to my knowledge) have been building in Chesham and surrounding area for more than 40 years. If I’d know this prior to having my extension built, I’d have used Summerlin Builders. Dans team were always friendly and polite to us and our neighbours. I would recommend Dan and his team and anyone considering any building work in the local area.

Dan, Ian and Hayden were contracted to extend the kitchen and convert the loft on our victorian terrace. They were fantastic to work with in every aspect of a big build; Dan was always contactable for discussions, the standard of their work is excellent and the speed of the build has been very quick. I would highly recommend this team of first class builders.

Summerlin Builders tick all the boxes in what you want from a contractor. As an architect I have decades of experience working with some of the UKs best and Dan, Hayden & Ian are certainly up there with them. We engaged them to convert and extend our historic flint outbuilding into a fully contained annexe and we were not disappointed. Communication - Dan & the team were contactable whenever we needed, we were always up to date with what has and what was going to be happening. Site issues were quickly communicated and solutions found so as not to delay the build. Quality - Ian’s years of experience and Hayden & Dans eye for detail mean that the end product has been finished to the highest standard. In short they all really care about giving the best and ensuring the end product is done properly. Cost & Programme - Dans budget and programme were spot on, no hidden costs. The initial phase of the project was almost super human ensuring we were water tight before the summer rains hit. Building Control - Their relationship with the local authority is fantastic and the building control process was seamless. Any contentious issues were talked about on site and a practical solution found. In short we are extremely happy with our guest annexe, we cant recommend Summerlin Builders enough. Richard

Summerlin builders have undertaken a number of projects for us over the last 3 yrs including:- Garden landscaping & erection of a summer house. Large extension & loft conversion to our bungalow. A sympathetic build resulting in a beautiful union of old & new that exceeded our expectations. Most recently works undertaken on a drive & hardscaping to front garden. More than pleased with the finished results with all projects.
