After having worked with Matthew and the team from Abbey Building Contractors on our two storey side extension, we could not recommend them more highly! From the transparent and reasonable costings at the beginning, through to their professionalism on site, their care when working on the project (whilst we continued to live on site) and their amazing communication and honesty throughout, we would use them again in a heart beat. The quality of the workmanship and the attention to detail was great, as is the after project customer care. Also, whenever posed with the inevitable problems during a building project, we were always presented with practical solutions. Thank you for making what could have been an incredibly stressful time, so smooth... and leaving us with our completed forever home!

Abbey building contractors excellently completed my kitchen extension, refurbishment of an existing kitchen room and patio. Work was completed to a high standard, on time and at the original agreed quotation price. Matthew and all contractors involved in the build were helpful and supportive through the whole build. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Matt and his team were fantastic from start to finish. They completed some structural work in our terraced house which could have been very disruptive, but managed to keep mess and disruption to a minimum (both for us and our neighbours). They did the job to an excellent standard, came on time each day, kept us updated throughout the process, and completed the work within the estimated timeframe. They also liaised with building control to make sure that we got all the required sign-offs. Highly recommended!

We commissioned Abbey Building Contractors to build a rear extension to our 1930s semi. The extension resulted in a new open plan family room totalling nearly 60 sq. m utilising the kitchen and part of our lounge/diner in the existing house and knocking through the rear wall across the width of the house into a new ground floor extension with pitched roof and underfloor heating throughout. We lived in the house during the works, which lasted 16 weeks. We are absolutely delighted with the finished extension and could tell Matt, Chris and all the Abbey team take a lot of pride in their work. At all stages we were still equipped with a working kitchen with our dishwasher always connected and the kitchen had to be moved no less than three times as the work progressed. Our heating system was always kept operational and temporary walls were insulated to keep the house warm. Overall, the experience was a lot less stressful than we expected, which is saying something as a family of five with a two year old! It has completely transformed the ground floor of our house and we have no hesitation in being able to recommend Abbey. We now spend all our time in the new family room and absolutely love it! Thank you Matt, Chris and all the Abbey team!

Thanks Matt and Chris for your help updating my bathroom. I’m really happy with the finish and appreciated that you kept the disruption to the rest of the house as minimal as possible, plus finished on time.
