Our flat roof on a ground floor extension built by sturdy build has completely failed and needs to be replaced. The extension is under 10 years old, trade bodies and other builders provide warranty from 10-30 years for roofs, not Sturdy Build which says 2 years. My insurance company find this highly irregular for the type of building work I paid for. I’m left with a significant expense to replace the roof which has leaked from day 1. Even SB staff told me it’s not a good roof and they don’t use that material anymore.

Ed came over to look at a property that we were thinking of buying, and gave us detailed information and professional advice, which in the end made us change our mind about the purchase. I wish we'd contacted him sooner! Very quick to reply, friendly and knowledgeable, we'll definitely be in touch again if we need an opinion or work done.

SturdyBuild recently completed a kitchen extension on my house (amongst other works that I kept requesting to add on!). The team were professional, approachable, and really easy to communicate with. I was consulted on all aspects and kept updated throughout the process, and the extension itself is beautiful — it blends seamlessly with the original structure and has transformed the way I use the space. One of the things that was most impressive was their team's ability to solve problems quickly and creatively. Whenever an unexpected issue came up or I wanted to make a change or add something that I hadn't thought of before— they handled it with calm confidence and found smart solutions that kept everything on track and stress-free for me, as well as handling all the building regulations and other external requirements etc. I am so grateful to have found such a reliable, skilled, and talented team, and would recommend them to anyone looking to get building works done on their home.

We used SturdyBuild for a first floor timber frame extension. From the outset Ed and his team approached the project in a very professional and friendly manner. We had a great deal of confidence in the team’s ability to deliver what we wanted to a high standard. We were particularly pleased with how Ed kept us informed on the build throughout - communication was excellent. The build did take a bit longer than originally planned, but what with Covid disruption this was almost inevitable, and wasn’t a big problem for us since we were kept in the loop. All the team on site were conscientious and were able to work around us despite us needing to home school and work from home due to the pandemic. Thanks to a temporary roof we were able to keep our kitchen operational throughout the entire build which was a real plus! When the odd unexpected issue did come up, the team came up with practical solutions to keep the build moving along. Overall we would definitely recommend SturdyBuild - the quality of work, professionalism and communication was excellent, and the build came in on budget.

We could not recommend Ed and the team more!!!! They did a fantastic job restoring our Edwardian home in Cambridge. They were very professional and did everything by the book. The site was always clean and tidy and even our neighborhoods commented on how quiet and clean they were. They finished and completed the refurbishment on time and in budget. Always came up with great ideas for any problems we encountered with the old building and worked quickly to resolve them. The end finish is of very high standards and almost no snagging.
