Pete from Timeless Tiles did an outstanding job for us using Moroccan Zellige hand made tiles to do the alcove above our cooker in the kitchen. It was the last thing to finish in our bespoke kitchen and he did the best job that anyone could do to add the finishing flourish to make the kitchen what we wanted. He is knowledgeable, kind and polite, and what else could we ask for? We highly recommend him, and in our experience we hardly ever recommend any tradesperson, but this is a very welcome exception. What a surprise to find such a talented person to help us. Thanks Pete

Pete did a great job, worked hard to complete the work quickly. He communicated before the start of the job to give us the best price for the work and kept me informed on the progress of the job.

Premium prices ??? upsetting results and attitude. Initial impressions of Pete of Timeless Tiling were good, unfortunately as my tiling requirements got more complex his lack of experience and professionalism came to the fore. Pete is possibly the most expensive tiler in the area, at ??300 a day it???s his glossy website you???re paying for and not his tiling ability. I was uneasy with his high prices, however, the website and associated reviews gave me confidence, so I took the plunge. Pete had availability and I was getting desperate following another tiler letting me down at the last minute and with my move-in date imminent I needed a tiler. I quickly realised Pete lacked both experience and professionalism when he started to get things wrong and cut corners, which he did a lot. In total I spent over ??6500 with him, which is a crazy amount of money that I could barely afford, and given I provided all of the tiles, 95% of my payment was his high labour costs. My first issue arose whilst I was overseas on a family holiday. During this time Pete was tiling the bathroom. Although we messaged almost daily during my week away, I returned to find the wet room former was missing a metal frame for supporting the linear drain tile insert. This metal frame had been left in the box by Pete. Pete immediately blamed this on me, stating I should???ve taken everything out of the box and handed it to him, he said this even though during our last face-to-face conversation we talked through everything , including the box which contained the metal drain frame. To keep the peace I reluctantly accepted some of the blame and worked late into the night removing the tiles and replacing the wet room tanking membrane so he could fit the drain and re-tile the next morning. To add insult to injury his mistake cost me time away from my family, and ??150 in replacement tiles and tanking membrane. He later admitted he???d never tiled a wet room former before. If this was the case, why would you not read the instructions, or google it? Pete???s professionalism rapidly went downhill. It was quite clear how money driven he was, and this incident (although his fault) was costing him money in lost time and unprofessional comments such as ???I can???t wait to be done with this project now??? became frequent. My second issue was wonky tiles in our small W/C (see images). This was an earlier mistake that unfortunately I didn???t notice until weeks later when I went to hang a mirror on the wall highlighting the error. My heart sank when I realised it was his tiles that were wonky and not my mirror hanging. This, along with a lack of attention to detail and poor silicone work throughout, I???d finally had enough. Instead of dealing with Pete myself, I asked my wife to do it. When she spoke to him, he never apologised once. Instead he turned it back around on us and complained that we should???ve told him sooner (we noticed at the weekend and saw him face to face on the Tuesday). He also moaned that it would be difficult to remove the tiles, it would cost him 2-days of lost earnings and that I would probably have to remove the sink from the wall again for him to do the work. Pete agreed to come back and rectify the wonky wall tiles at a later date; however, I then told him I would be withholding ??600 from his final invoice of ??2400 until the remedial work was complete. At this point he got extremely angry. He went on to say ???I know other tilers that would come in here with a hammer and smash all this up??? which I was shocked to hear. This was nothing short of a veiled threat. I stated this was both threatening and highly unprofessional and perhaps I should leave a review to highlight this. At this point he quickly calmed down and attempted to back track. We both agreed to part company in the end. I???ve subsequently learned from other customers that they also were unhappy with his work but didn???t want to leave a review which I now understand. I don???t want to trash Timeless Tiling, but I do want to leave an honest review so potential customers can make an informed decision.

We used Timeless Tiling for a kitchen, conservatory and utility room flooring refit. Pete is a very engaging guy with great attention to the smallest details that make the all the difference. We found him to be very punctual, tidy, clean and kept to the agreed timeline. All in all a a very good experience and would be happy to use TT again.

Pete is further the best tiler we have ever used. We were so lucky to choose him. He is very professional, punctual, hard working & he really cares that you are going to love it. His work is immaculate. He is a sticker for details and has a big palette of grouting colours to match tiles to perfection. The finished floor is stunning, I cannot thank him enough.
