My experience was a textbook case of mismanaged expectations and a "lead balloon" disappointment. ???The Hook: Great First Impressions ???My journey started with optimism. After seeing their high Google ratings and impressive portfolio of completed gardens that matched my specific criteria, I reached out. The preliminary call was professional and charismatic, making me feel like I had found the right team for my front garden project. ???The Build-Up: Professional Site Inspection ???The efficiency continued when a grounds inspector arrived within two working days. He was thorough, took photos, and???most importantly???confirmed in plain English that the job could definitely be completed. He assured me he would report back so a formal cost estimate could be issued. At this stage, there was zero reason to doubt the service would proceed. ???The Letdown: A Cold Rejection at lunchtime!!!!? ???The "burst balloon" moment came the very next day. Instead of the expected estimate, I received a phone call during lunch from the same woman who was initially so eager and charismatic. Her tone had shifted completely; she was surly and matter-of-fact, abruptly informing me they were "overbooked" and could no longer take the job. ???Zero Flexibility: I wasn't asked about my timeline or offered the next available date in their diary. ???Inconsistency: The inspector confirmed the job was doable, only for the office to shut it down 24 hours later without a valid explanation. ???Poor Communication: The surly delivery of the news made it feel intentional and personal, rather than a professional scheduling conflict. ???Final Verdict ???It felt less like a garden inspection and more like a personal screening. While Elias exercised their right to reject me as a customer, I am exercising my right to share how poorly this was handled. You needn't revert with any fake remedial or response, your message was received loud and clear and I'll take my business elsewhere much appreciated.

The team at Elias Gardens and Grounds worked tirelessly over two days to clear years of growth and nade a real impact in a very short timescale. I'm very pleased with what was achieved and will be engaging them to do more.
