Last year close to Christmas I wanted to buy my mother a carving of my dog. Upon asking how much it would be I was met with the response ???more than you can afford??? which took me aback because it was incredibly rude and I can afford it. Upon speaking about the details, the guy approached it with reluctance as if he didn't want my business. Eventually we came to the conclusion that it was too close to Christmas for him to complete the order. This year I had the same idea and returned to this store and asked again, which was met with the exact same response ???more than you can afford.??? One time is a mistake, two times is genuinely underserving of my business as I was prepared to spend upwards of 800 pounds on this carving. I wouldn???t give a business any money when they treat potential customers with such hostility and rudeness. If you are thinking of buying a carving from here, you would be better to carve it yourself.

North Road Timber made and fitted a bespoke barn door for us and the quality is outstanding. It has completely transformed the space. Excellent family-run business with real care, craftsmanship, and attention to detail at the heart of everything they do. Highly recommend!

This is 2nd time, this place saved me ! 1st time , I messed up a wood to cut correctly & he fixed it. Now I messed up a glass & he happy to save me again! I didn't even know , they do cut glass too. So many mean reviews are here which is super unfair. They are very unique & high quality. Definitely highly recommend them.

Very helpful family run business. Russell fitted four oak doors for us this week, and we were impressed by the quality of the workmanship, carried out quickly and precisely. All the doors were slightly differing sizes, and all four needed to but cut shorter than the standard size. They all now fit perfectly and are a vast improvement to our previous doors. He also tidied and cleaned up afterwards, which was much appreciated. Would not hesitate to recommend North Road Timber and will certainly use them again in future.

All things wood, building, and joinery. Very central and easy to find. You can just about park outside if you're very quick, and lucky. Friendly service. Easy access. Use it or lose it.
