Called this locksmith after the snib on my front door became stuck and locked the door. I had recently fitted replacement handles with a snib, matching the originals. The handles worked fine, but the snib engaged and wouldn't disengage.The locksmith was pleasant and initially suggested the gearbox was likely the issue and could be repaired. However, after opening the door and inspecting the lock, I was told the system was a Spanish design and that I should refit the old handles. When I explained I wanted the new handles fitted, I was advised it would be cheaper to replace the entire door than the lock, and that the snib wasn't necessary. I paid ??140 for the door to be opened, but the original problem wasn't fixed and no repair solution was offered. I was left disappointed that the issue remained unresolved despite the call-out charge. 2 stars - one for turning up & 1 for door to be opened.

Excellent. Came out quickly when the lock mechanism broke on our front door. Secured the door and returned the next day to replace the broken part. Fantastic service and went above and beyond. Highly recommended

Andrew replaced the handle for bifold door which was no longer available from the company. He not only only replaced the broken gearbox but replaced worn lock, worn handles and realigned door to frame. Would definitely recommend.

I contacted Andrew through Checkatrade as I wanted doors/locks assessed after a house move. Andrew messaged me quickly to arrange a time the next day to come round. He assessed what needed to be done and checked whether he had the equipment to start that day. He didn???t, but said he would would source parts needed and be touch. He did this with a quick turn around and work is now complete! I wouldn???t hesitate to contact Andrew again or recommend to others in need of a locksmith.
