I love my Newland Home, I am a second time owner, it's been built for over 13 years and the quality still shows, my windows will need to be painted for the first time soon! My only negative would be under the sink is very messy pipework, the rest is great :-)

A bit of a mixed experience with Newland Homes. From the sales side it was great. We dealt with Laura who was based in the show home at the Prestbury road site. The sale went through so quickly and Laura was quick to respond to any of our queries. And we completed within 6 weeks which was amazing. On the day of getting the keys we were delighted to see our new house and it looked amazing. We planned to move in the next day. However, we were told it wasn???t possible until later in the afternoon as they we laying the road. And we had booked removal people so that was frustrating. Newland did give us the money for our removal people and we found someone luckily to move us in the afternoon. So, we paid for ???Home Snags??? to do a full survey on our house. In which they found 160 snags!!! We expected quite a few and so we ignored some of the minor snags. The main thing that stood out was that the house wasn???t level. All of the rooms on the 1st and 2nd floor were not level and out of spec. We spoke to Newland about it and they said they cant really do anything about it. I spoke to Home Snags about it, and they said it is likely the floors will start to make noises over time (which they have after 6months!). When the snags were being done, some people were good and got the job done, one company always looked for a way out of doing the work and making up excuses. One snag was an issue with the hot water cycling hot and cold. The guy wanted to just replace the shower, but I explained to him how showers work and explained it???s the boiler that???s at fault. It just felt like they didn???t know what they were doing. The first month or so was good in terms of getting snags fixed as the project manager Heidi was on site and chased everything through. It then got the point where she was moving onto her next site, and that???s when it went downhill. We were handed over to the Aftersales team, and in the last few months it???s been very poor. They just send an email to the company who is meant to make the fix then move on. We have been chasing for months to try and get the last few snags done. So, after being here for over 2 years we were still chasing to get the final snags done. We???ve had slots above our bathroom window since the day we moved in, as they didn???t fit a vent. So the bathroom as always cold. Even asked if they could just send the vent and I would fit it, but still no fix yet!! For our final 6 month snag check, we explained that 1 fence post is loose, which they have refused to do. Update in May 2024, so after the 2 year period where they said they would fix the snags, we pushed back and said it was terrible how poor it was and how we wouldn't buy from them again. So Newland sent their new Customer Care manager, Claire, would visit. I was hopeful for thing being fixed. We had a scratch on the patio door which was there when we moved in, she argued it, eventually said the surfacer could fix it, he turned up, said it's too deep, then reluctantly she agrees to replace the window. We complained about noisy floors, and explained how when we were shown round that I was concerned about the floors being out of spec from the snag survey, and he said not to worry and then would be fixed if they became noisy. Claire said that the 6 noises were not loud enough. It felt like she would disagree with anything we said. I then contacted LABC and said I didn't agree with her view. Newland then sent out the contracts manager, straight away he said it was an issue and it would be fixed. A month later someone came to fix it. He tried, they went quiet for a month. Then became noisy again. We have now decided to live with the noise as it's not worth the hassle of dealing with Claire. Overall I would say we were delighted with Newland and the house, then ended up agreeing that we would never buy from them again and probably not buy a new build again. One thing I would say with these houses is that with semi detached houses, the wall are paper thin. We can hear conversations from our neighbour, and his music everyday.
Reviews from Google · 27 Mar 2024I moved into my first, newly build home in August 2019. The sales team, and later after-care team, are people that have been nothing but professional, lovely, and caring. Excellent communication and responsiveness, and making sure that I was happy in my new home made the whole experience of buying my first home more relaxed than I ever though it would be. Several months down the line and I can say with certainty that even if there is an issue, I know that there is a team in place to assist if needed. And of course I love my beautiful new home. Thank you Newland Homes for delivering what you promised.
Reviews from Google · 22 Feb 2020Purchased a home from Newland Homes at the Brooklands site in Evesham and moved in just over a month ago. From the first time we met Bev & Sarah in the sales office back in Febuary we were made to feel so welcome. Nothing was to much trouble, they always kept in contact with us through out the sales process. The staff at Brooklands are a fantastic team, always happy to help with any questions we asked - if they didn't know the answer right away, the always got back to us very quickly. Newland Homes are totally different to any other house developer, our 3 bed "Tetbury" home has very good specs as standard - far more than other builders, we have a small snagging list which is being dealt with at present. The little things like the "meet your neighbour" afternoon was a nice touch, a few drinks & a buffet lunch whilst the sales team introduced us to other new home owners. Newlands treat your more like friends than sombody who's going to buy a house from them on a huge development, it's a much more personal approach that makes them stand out from other builders. Overall we had a great buying experience with Newlan Homes, would most certainly buy from them again and reccomend to others.
Reviews from Google · 18 Jul 2019So long story but will keep this short as I can. Since buying our house of Newland Homes we have had nothing but trouble with our en suite shower to the extent that Newland Homes are now here trying to fix it again for the 3rd time. They turned up on Monday of this week in announced we were at work so had to say we can not do today. They have been here since Tuesday and on Wednesday my wife and I had to go to work so we trusted Newland Homes with our house. On Wednesday after work my wife returned home with our 18 month old baby to find our house was left open back door left open our 12 year old dog left outside in the rain and cold. The key safe were we left the key open and left on the floor. This on top of my wife loosing her grandmother and the funeral today. After my wife had been in the house for 20 minutes they returned and could see my wife at home clearly they were not expecting her to come home so early. They apologized and left after my wife went ballistic at them. To top it off when I asked for compensation they said you need to write in. When I pushed the area manger he started shouting at me and then hung up. Be Warned if you have issues with your Newland Home then this is what you can expect a torrent of shouting and then you will be hung up on. I have asked for the MD to call me which they have said no. So tomorrow I will be sat in there head office until he speaks to me. Appalling way to be treated.
