We have been living in our new home at Hereford Point for a while now, and our experience is a mixed bag of excellent indoor craftsmanship and highly disappointing outdoor maintenance. The Positives (Inside the Home) The internal aspect of the property is where Bloor Homes truly shines. We are incredibly happy with the actual house: it has an excellent Layout: The floor plan is highly functional, spacious, and perfect for modern living.Build Quality: The overall construction feels solid, well-insulated, and built to last. Good Internal Finish: The tiling, woodwork, and kitchen fittings were completed to a high standard. ???? The Negatives (Outside the Home) Unfortunately, as soon as you step outside the front or back door, the quality drops drastically. The external estate management feels neglected: Poor Garden Topsoil: The soil provided in our read garden is extremely poor quality, full of stones, and difficult to grow anything in. Disappointing planting: The initial trees and shrubs planted around the plot feel cheap and poorly established. Lazy Maintenance: The communal spaces were advertised as a "natural meadow," but this feels like an excuse to avoid mowing. It is currently just an eyesore full of overgrown weeds. The estate as a result feels very neglected Estate Greenery: The shared communal (phase 4) areas are rarely maintained, leaving the overall development looking messy and unfinished. Summary: If you only care about the four walls of your house, Bloor Homes delivers. However, if you value a well-kept neighborhood and a usable garden, I would strongly avoid, especially given customer services lack of basic common sense and desire to maintain the estate.

I would consider looking elsewhere for your new home! We have been here 2 years, and granted it???s a brilliant area but the after care once Bloor have taken your money is not very good at all. Anticipate something going from about 2 months before it actually goes wrong, because that???s how long it takes for them to even come and evaluate the issue, let alone rectify it. We currently have an issue with our bath leaking, which took a month, and 3 visits just to be sorted, as a result of the bath leaking we now have to have a new floor (due to black mould caused by the leak) which is going to take another 3 weeks to be rectified, even though they were informed of all of this back in February (all whilst they know we have a baby due at the end of this month). We also have already had to have our garden relaid once shortly after moving in, but they lied about putting drainage into our garden so it became a bog, which again took over a month to get any kind of answer as to why they lied about us having a land drain installed when the first had to re lay our garden, to which they have now said they will just come and rotavate the garden and put seed back down even though we paid for turf originally which will be guaranteed to put us back in the same situation next year, but by then our warranty will be over and they won???t have to do a thing!! Avoid if you want a hassle free home or make sure you can see into the future to inform them of issues before the happen so you can actually get them rectified!!

Reviews from Google · 14 Feb 2026Our home was thrown up quickly to a very low standard. Uneven walls, window sills that a ball would roll off, faulty plumbing, fencing that didn't cover the length of the garden, unplasted patches of wall, windows that leaked so much air a small breath of wind would move the curtains, boundary issues which caused issues with neighbours to name just some of the issues. The site management and sales team were sub standard, leaving myself having to go to their higher management to sort the problems. I haven't found any other resident yet that is happy with Bloor. However, once all the issues are fixed it will be a decent home. Bloor throw up the houses with sub standard tradesmen and expect the Bloor team to fix all the issues on the 6 and 18 month list, leaving you having to take many days off work waiting for tradesmen to fix the original bodges. Nearly a year later and the house is nearly to the standard you would expect on move in. Wouldn't recommend.
Reviews from Google · 8 Apr 2019Went to visit a friend here and there are some lovely houses built. She has a new 4 bedroom one and it's super. Lovely big kitchen and garage. Plenty of space for storage and 4 nice sized bedrooms. It's making me want to sell my house and move here
