Phil and Will Dunell built our house for us which we moved into in 2022. They are expert craftsmen (carpenters by trade) and between them they did all the structural carpentry, the 1st, 2nd and final fix fittings - all to an excellent standard. Phil brought in and managed the other sub-contractors and made sure their work was also completed to an excellent standard. The site was kept clean and tidy at all times and friendly relations were maintained with neighbours throughout the build. We have completed 6 self-build properties and the quality of build and finish, and also the speed of this project were by far the best. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend R&C Construction.

R&C built the house we live in 15 year ago. We subsequently bought the property. We have not had any problems with the original build but have more recently used R&C for kitchen/dining renovation /updating and bathroom replacement. The quality of their work is excellent, they are reliable and trustworthy and I would recommend them to anyone wanting an experienced hardworking company who deliver on time with traditional values.

We decided upon adding a loft conversion to our property which would make way for a master bedroom with en suite and dressing room. After consulting with various building contractors prior to our plans being drawn up we were recommended R&C Construction through a family member and our architect. Upon meeting Phil Dunell we quickly made up our minds that this is who we wanted to carry out our works. We have never been disappointed with that decision. Phil worked closely with our architect and advised us on how to best utilise every space that we had. We received excellent communication prior to works commencing and throughout the build. We felt very well informed and were provided with different options at each stage. Disruption was to a minimum allowing us to continue our everyday routines and even with 2 young children in the house it did not impact on us being at home while the work was being carried out. Our neighbours also noted how impressed they were that every contractor who attended site were thoughtful to not block drives/paths and how little noise they heard. At the end of each day the house was left clean and tidy which was always very welcomed. The build was completed within the timescale estimated, including us requesting to add additional improvements to other rooms in the house. The results all round is outstanding and all works completed is to the highest standards. We have already recommended R&C Construction to friends and know that they also have experienced the same professional and top-quality work.

Phil and his team did a marvelous job converting a run down outbuilding into a lovely office/studio, see before and after photo's. Highly recommended.

Around 10 years ago, R&C were recommended to me by my architect to construct an oak framed extension, which is still admired by everyone who sees it. I was so pleased with the result that I have been using them ever since. Two years ago, I had major internal alterations done to create a new kitchen. It was a highly complicated (and stressful) project, but R&C managed the whole thing in coordinated way, resolving every problem calmly and competently. Over the years I have recommended R&C to friends, all of whom have been very happy with their work. All the work is closely supervised by Phil Dunell, and anything which does not meet with his approval gets done again. As a result, all work is done properly and to a high standard. At the end of each day everything is left clean and tidy, and everyone is courteous, professional and reliable. No job is too small or too much trouble. I have complete confidence in R&C and would not now consider using anyone else.
