All the team were fantastic, making sure we only needed to move out for a week during the 3 month build of a single storey wraparound extension. Our architect had worked with them on his previous job and gave them a glowing recommendation, as did the owners, who very kindly showed us around their new extension. The high quality of the work was clear. All the team were friendly and helpful throughout our build, always tidying away and making the site safe at the end of each day, and arranging the arrival of different tradespeople at each stage of the process. Even the singing was top notch! We are delighted with the results and can't thank them enough for making our dream home a reality. Highly recommended.

After extensive research and careful consideration, Hutton Football Club selected Mike Whittaker Builders to undertake a major improvement project at the club: the installation of a large patio area finished with artificial grass, and the erection of a substantial, extremely heavy wooden pavilion. With no external funding available, this investment came directly from the club???s carefully saved funds, making it essential that we chose a company we could trust completely. We are delighted to say we made the right choice. From the very beginning, Luke and James demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and a genuine commitment to delivering the best possible outcome. Nothing was too much effort. Their preparation was thorough, and they offered valuable advice, guidance, and expert direction to ensure the project was planned to the highest standard. This level of care continued throughout the build. As work progressed, they identified tweaks and improvements, discussed them openly, and implemented solutions that enhanced the final result. The team worked on site for three weeks, and during that time their positive attitude, work ethic, and respect for the environment around them were clear for all to see. As a large community football club, it was vital that the work was carried out with consideration for our neighbours, the community, and the many people who attend the club daily. The team delivered exactly that. In fact, visitors were so impressed that they posted praise on Facebook while the work was still underway, a clear sign that the builders were conducting themselves in a way that reflected well on both their company and our club. The finished work is exceptional. The patio area, a large and complex installation, has been completed with expert precision. The artificial grass has been laid beautifully, transforming the space into a clean, modern, and highly functional area for players, families, and supporters. The pavilion, originally an additional extra, became a standout feature of the project. Despite its size and weight, the team took it on with enthusiasm and absolute professionalism. Without their skill and determination, we have no idea how we would have managed to get it erected correctly. It now stands as a major asset to the club, visually impressive, structurally solid, and already hugely appreciated by everyone who uses the facility. The transformation to our outdoor space is remarkable. The new area allows us to host events safely, comfortably, and with a renewed sense of pride in our surroundings. It has elevated the club environment and created a space our community can enjoy for years to come. We are extremely pleased that we selected Mike Whittaker Builders for this important project. They are an exceptional team who delivered a fantastic result. The work can be inspected at any time at Hutton Football Club, come and see it for yourself, and while you???re there, enjoy a beer on the new patio and take in the beautiful surroundings of Hutton. We started with some internal work and then embarked on the extension. Luke and James were absolutely brilliant. Polite, considerate and nothing was too much trouble. Standard and quality of the build was outstanding and it has blended in with the property extremely well. It doesn???t even look like an addition. Many thanks to you and all the trades involved and to the humour. Would be more than happy to recommend you.

We would highly recommend Luke, James and their team from Mike Whittaker carpentry and building. We approached them about knocking down our old garage and replacing it with a two storey extension. Luke and James???s organisational and project management skills were exceptional in achieving a continual flow of trades to complete the work from start to finish. They were always approachable and considerate regarding any changes to the project. They always kept the site clean and tidy and tried to keep any disruption to our daily life to a minimum. They completed the work within the agreed timeframe and they always went the extra mile to make sure we were happy with the build. The completed extension has made such a positive impact to our family life and we are very grateful to Luke and James for all their hard work in making this dream happen.

Mike Whitakers were recommended to us by our architect, and we couldn???t be happier with the work completed. We met with James, Luke and Mike back in April 2024 and they provided us with a quotation for a single storey extension, kitchen renovation and garage conversion. It was clear right from the start that they knew their stuff, although I was apprehensive having building work completed with a toddler at home. I needn???t have worried because they were so respectful of our home and turned up every day with a smile; it was a pleasure working with them for the best part of 3 months. I???ve never known a more professional contractor, everything was organised with military precision and they stuck to the timescale agreed at the start. They were mindful to minimise disruption and mess, which was very important to us with a young child running around. We are so happy to enjoy our beautiful new kitchen and extension. Thank you so much for all your hard work!
