Having worked with M.A Hemmings Builders for over 20 years their standards have not slipped. On every job they are very professional and on hand for advise so you choose the correct choice to fit your needs. The lads are very polite & tidy and we will continue working with the boys going forward.

I needed to have some work done to the roof edges, and decided to upgrade the soffit and gutters at the same time. I reached out to Mike (as he had previously carried out work for my neighbour). He provided a comprehensive quote, and even researched similar style/colour tiles in case any existing ones were broken during the job (which they weren't). Mike coordinated with his scaffolder and roofer. There was a delay in getting started, but this was mainly due to all the bad weather/rain we'd been having. Once the job started, it went very smoothly and it all looks great. Mike and his sons are a pleasure to work with - very friendly and hard working and they do a quality job. I am thrilled with the work, and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I wanted to do an extension to the side of my house. Mike was one of those in the running. He came highly recommended and also provided references (which I contacted). He provided a detailed quote, which included matching the existing window frame colour and bricks (he even brought a sample brick with him). I had to wait, as Mike and his team focus on one job at a time, but it was worth it as they work to a high standard and did a great job. They always started and finished on time (less disruptive for the neighbours), and cleaned up each day. When issues arose (e.g. drains) Mike let us know and offered solutions. He also coordinated with other trades people for electrics, plumbing, tiling, roofing, kitchen fitting etc. and was open to doing other minor enhancements to finish off the job. I am very pleased with the result as the extension blended in with the rest of the house and it still looks good several years on. They really are a 5 star act!

We employed Mike and his two sons; Scott and Lee, not forgetting lovely Pat and Mike???s wife who did the finances for two jobs at our House in Greenbank. The first job was an extension and patio on the rear of the house in 2016 with the whole team (Mike Hemmings builders), coming back to do our loft conversion in the summer of 2021. Mike and team were recommended from someone at my partners work, who stated that they were the best. This was no exaggeration. Mike???s word is his bond and the level of skill and professionalism he showed whilst working here was astounding. We did have to wait for an opening in Mike???s busy calendar before he could start. That can only be a good thing in my estimation and it was very reassuring to know that he was, and I???m sure still is, in high demand. Most of the customers he seemed to have prior to starting on our house were repeat custom, which says a lot about the man himself and the team. Another bonus is Mike and team only took on one job at a time so that they were with us every week day until the end of the job. They were always delightful, courteous, polite, funny, punctual and very profession. They cleaned up after themselves every day. Mike always kept us up to date with what was going on and would always inform us if there were any snags. We are definitely going to get them back to do any of our potential jobs in the future but sadly Pat has retired.

M.A.Hemmings Builders delivered outstanding results on both our extension and annex projects, completing all work efficiently, within budget, and on schedule. From the outset, Mike, Scott, and Lee impressed us with their professionalism and reliability, making communication easy and ensuring we were kept informed at every stage. They were always courteous and respectful, taking great care to keep the work areas clean and tidy at the end of each day, which we really appreciated. Their meticulous attention to detail and dedication to achieving the highest quality finish made the entire experience seamless and completely stress-free. We are absolutely delighted with the final outcome and cannot recommend them highly enough to anyone considering a building project.
