I recently brought a 2 bed flat in Four Oaks that required some updating and reworking of its layout. I found Empire Builders on google and Antony was quick to respond, assess my property and give me a guide price on how much the works will cost. As my property is leasehold, it took longer than expected to get consent from the freeholder and I wasn???t sure if my proposal would be accepted. (It was thankfully!) Antony was very patient with the proposed start date for the works constantly being pushed back and then waiting for my kitchen and other items to arrive etc. Antony and his trusted traders have been brilliant! They were always on time, clean and checked in with me before they went ahead with any works that was to my preference. For example the location of radiators or direction of the laminate flooring. I am completely chuffed with the outcome of my renovation which included: rearranging and renewing the bathroom, converting the existing kitchen to an office, adding pipework through the hallway to make a utility/service the new kitchen and converting the living room to a kitchen/living space. I have had so many compliments on my renovation and I would happily use Empire Builders again! I have already recommended to friends/family in the area and they have restored my faith in builders. Thank you Ant and your team

We recently had ground floor remodelling to our Victorian terrace property (approx 1880) completed by Antony (Empire Builders) and would not hesitate in recommending their work. I would certainly have the team in for future projects we are wishing to complete, to the extent I would wait for their availability before planning any projects. Parts of our house that we were remodelling hadn???t had any works/improvements for well over 60yrs. The ground floor reconfiguration scope included: ??? Removal of existing storage room. ??? Creation of utility/laundry room. ??? Removal of existing kitchen and remodelling in to dining room. ??? Installation of kitchen into other ground floor room. ??? Insulating and raising ground floor levels to rooms to make common ground floor level to other areas of house. ??? Electrical, water, waste installation and connections. ??? Finishing and decoration. Quotation We had a solid idea of the works we wished to be delivered. Antony carried out a visit to the property when he said he would and allowed for enough time to discuss what we wanted. Antony provided some great ideas to improve the works based on taking time and exactly understanding what we were trying to achieve. The quotation was delivered when Antony said it would, the pricing was very reasonable and clearly presented, broken down. Due to the nature of working on old projects, Antony explicitly identified any items that were not included within the pricing (or that he was unable to give a detailed price for due to the need to uncover elements of the existing construction), he was able to provide a provisional sum for these items so that we could better understand our whole project costs/project risks. Within the priced quotation, Antony provided an indicative programme so that we understood how long the works would take. Pre-constriction Antony reviewed the kitchen design completed by other and suggested changes that would make improvements to the design, improvements to the detailing and minimise waste. We had specific design details we wished to be included that the kitchen designer was not able to design/detail ??? Anthony was able to complete this detailing. Antony gave further detail on the construction programme to enable us to arrange delivery on time for specific items that we wanted to be installed. On site Antony was on site everyday to directly deliver and supervise the works of tradesmen, the team were always on time and punctual. The works were well organised. Material, tools and equipment was always stored neatly, dust extraction was used on site, and construction waste was managed to minimised the disruption to our home. Antony is very detail focused and ensured that he discussed detailing during construction in order that if there was a decision needed from us, we were well informed and able to make needed decisions. During the construction we asked for additional works to be carried out (probably like a lot of homeowners), Antony gave detailed costs for these extra works and provided guidance programme/when best to deliver. Programming Antony gave clear advise on the overall programme, and detailed information on what works were going to be carried out/completed at the start of every week. All work (and extras) were delivered on time. Quality Excellent ??? adding that Antony enabled specific details we anted to be delivered (we had the sink installed on a bespoke worktop bridge to avoid clash with tall/low Victorian window ??? not delivering this would have meant we couldn???t reconfigure rooms). The kitchen flooring is 1200mm floor tiles ??? we discussed several options for setting out tiles, room shape, door openings, existing period features etc ??? the flooring as installed is unmeasurably enhanced by that time taken. Completion No issues with during construction and completion, Antony also took the time to call and visit to make sure we were happy and that there were no niggles or defects. Thank you Thank you Antony and team for delivering a great improvement to our home.

Empire builders recently completed a garage conversion for me and I am absolutely delighted with it! Instead of an old, damp garage we have two beautiful new rooms accessed via the hallway. The first I use for my dogs and storage, the second is a shower room with toilet/wash basin combination. This was the biggest job I've undertaken at home to date but I didn't have to worry at all as Antony and his whole team were brilliant from start to finish! The quote for the work was very reasonable. Antony and all the trades people he works with, are reliable, hard working, professional and very skillful at what they do. The work they completed was to a very high standard and they always ensured the site was clean and tidy. In addition to this - they are polite, friendly and were very considerate to minimise any upheaval to us during the build. Antony was always on hand to ensure everything ran smoothly. He really does go the extra mile and works with great care and attention to detail, as if he were working on his own home. I can highly recommend Empire Builders - it was a pleasure to have them work in our home and I will definately ask them back for any further jobs needed in the future.

Empire Builders have just completed an extension and full renovation of my home in Sutton Coldfield. From the outset the engagement from Anthony was outstanding. He will provide you with the confidence that your work will be completed to the highest standard. The work was started on time and there were tradesmen at my house each day (non of the disappearing for a few days at a time which drives home owners mad). Anthony keeps right on top of all the trades and ensures the process is smooth and professional. The plumbers, grounds staff, bricklayers, heating engineer, electrician, plasterer and carpenter are experienced, mature and work in a professional manner and all interactions were positive. Ant will be hands on at all times and makes himself available whenever you need him. You will get helpful hints and advice on layout and design. I recommend Empire Builders for the best possible result.

Antony began work on our back extension in late October 2022 and completed the job in February 2023, during this time he and his trusted team of local trades people worked so hard to create us the perfect open plan kitchen/dining/living room. The attention to detail from Antony and his team was great, from the brick work, roof rafters, plaster finish to the final touches of skirting boards, door frames all being an excellent quality of finish. As a family of five (three children under 4) Antony and his team went out of their way to make sure we could continue to live on site throughout; keeping us with a kitchen sink for as long as possible we truly appreciated. All of Antony???s team were polite and kind to our children, making the children comfortable with the changes happening in their home. We would highly recommend.
