Relocated from the former dwarven smithy, smelling of oil and swarfega, full of screws and thingummys, trinkets and bobbins, functional, shiny and chic, by seeking entrance at the secret portal and climbing up the twisty turning stairs within the tower, the varnished wood of the trading room has vast transparent spaces that keep the weather outside yet let you see out across all the nearby lands full of toiling peasants like scurrying ants. The clan chief and her general allow their dwarven mage to work his eldritch magic unseen within some hidden chamber and after counting pointy things for a minute or two, a hatch opens and your goods appear. One fairly standard request and a not so standard replica of a type known by none alive but this master tradesman. Excellent reason to undertake a magical journey!! (at under a score all told too!!!)

My door lock was really stiff and hard to lock. I tried to mend it myself but couldn't. I rang Dockerills and they said "come round and they'd have look". I did and they did. Instead of trying to sell me a new lock they repaired and serviced the old one, immediately. I was really sad when the main shop closed but so happy they are now upstairs in a smaller space but just as nice and helpful as they always were. We are so lucky in The North Laine to have them here.

Brilliant store. I visited several times over two days to buy tools and bits of ironmongery (including some bolts which I had to return & swap because they were the wrong size) and get some keys cut. Staff were really helpful & friendly. I will be back!

This is the very historical and traditional tools shop that you can find in Brighton. You can find very useful hand tools, accessories, paints..... and everything there. Sometimes you may find the vintage spare parts in their small corner. The staffs there are very experience and helpful. If you need to buy some tools in a convenient location, then you should visit this shop.

Terrific family run store full of all things Hardware. The sort of place that invariably has exactly what you need. What shopping Local is all about. Wonderful friendly staff. Great display fronts the length of the shop. Use it or lose it.
