   I would recommend Gavin???s work without hesitation. Gavin redecorated our window frames which required repair work as well as painting. He also restored our sash window which had been broken for some time. All of the work was carried out to a very high standard. Gavin himself was professional, reliable and extremely pleasant. Many of our neighbours have commented on the quality of the work, and I know that several of them were so impressed that they have asked for quotes for work of their own!

Gavin decorated two rooms for us and despite the challenges of trying to match a difficult pattern in one room and an awkward corner in the other he did an amazing job.    Gavin and his support act, Haydn, have just completed a major and excellent indoor painting job for us across 3 rooms and 2 stairwells. They were totally professional, super clean and tidy and always good humoured, a pleasure to have working here. Gavin always seeks to go the extra mile, we had a mix of painting, limewash, wood, breathable emulsion and a difficult damp chimney breast which he had solutions for. The rooms were always well sheeted and they have shifted a lot of heavy furniture without complaint and removed and reassembled an awful lot of fittings without losing a screw! Last year he came in at short notice to do one bedroom we needed to freshen up and in 2023 he and his team painted over 25 external window frames and 4 doors in linseed oil paint and did a lovely job, including the soffits and facias for which he volunteered additional protection, working at a 2nd storey roof level. We can wholly recommend him for all internal and external painting.

   I recently hired Gavin from Howe's Decorating Company to decorate my son's and daughter's bedrooms, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, Gavin was professional, tidy, and incredibly skilled. My daughter's room was quite a complex project, involving a butterfly wallpaper mural and tongue and groove self-adhesive panels, all following a design from our interior designer. Gavin executed the vision perfectly, and the final result is stunning. My son's room was also painted to a very high standard, with a fantastic feature wall using gamer wallpaper. I was particularly impressed with Gavin's attention to detail and commitment to delivering a truly professional finish. He was also very respectful of our home and always left everything clean and tidy at the end of each day. We are so pleased with his work that we plan to use him again for decorating the rest of the house. I would highly recommend Gavin and Howe's Decorating Company to anyone looking for a reliable and skilled painter and decorator. We are absolutely thrilled with our children's newly decorated bedrooms!
