The Bauder purchasing team are incompetent and contribute to an incredible amount of unwarranted stress.

Zero stars. I insisted my contractor use an authorised Bauder installer after his delays caused ply to get water damaged and start to delaminate. The Bauder installer was told the contractor was to replace delaminated ply before installation of the water proofing, but instead the installer (GRM Roofing) installed over the delaminated ply. I now have a flat roof and terrace with 18mm ply which is bowing beneath my feet and the only way to replace it is to take all the waterproofing and render finishes off. All of the waterproofing by GRM Roofing is worthless as it has to be uplifted, as is the Bauder ???guarantee??? because the sub base is not fit for purpose. I would expect a trained installer to have a DUTY OF CARE to ensure the substrate is fit for purpose ??? at the very least to notify the contractor that necessary repairs / works have not be carried out rather than cover it up. They claim the roof is correctly installed despite the up stand on to a wall only being aprox 100mm high (not 300mm and not overlapped!!). Apparently authorised installers and Bauder will install Bauder product on any defective substrate, even when told it needs replacing. I had to get roof vents installed retrospectively as GRM could not be bothered to even advise on, let alone arrange for vents as part of their works to a ventilated roof. Do not expect Bauder to do anything other than defend their installers. I had them come out to site and their report completely ignores my complaint and finds no fault with their installation ( 100mm upstand??) It even trys to cast blame on their being only ???one small vent??? to the terrace (there are 4 vent aprox 80x 200!). It absolutely scandalous. Bauder insists if there is an issue I have to take it up with main contractor, as if this absolves their involvement and duty of care training and supplying the installer who covered up the damaged ply. Thought Id attache photo of the 100mm upstand with exposed ply under the insulation GRM burnt and underside of bowed 18mm delaminated ply. 15.07.25 FYI I have just worked out I can update my review. Please note : Bauder did not take a core sample through the ply but state there was ???no evidence of delaminated plywood to the terrace area??? . I have added photos and video of the terrace being uplifted in 2019. If Bauder fully defend their installation and taking payment to install water proofing onto a substrate that needed replacing, fine, though I would like to see it in writing. On that basis, the company could just have admitted the substrate was water damaged when GRM applied the system, and told me that they hold no duty of care regarding installations, that their role is just to turn up and install on whatever they find, and tell me it all Main contractors responsibility. It???s true that the contractor Ray Sinfield is ultimately to blame for all of this, for being incompetent. All Bauder and GRM had to say is they and their trained installers have no duty of care regarding how or where their waterproofing system is applied. I was clearly wrong to think that using specially trained and authorised Bauder installer would provide some assurance that the water damaged ply would not just get covered up. My mistake. At the end of the day Bauders installer got ??3k out of this and Ray Sinfield over ??60k and I have to pay to rip it up and do it again. NOTE: If both Bauder and GRM put in writing that they have no duty of care regarding suitability of substrate they are installing the system on , nor to advise/ warn regarding installation on defective substrates, nor the impact on guarantee prior to install, nor advice on ventilation requirements for ventilated roofs, I will amend my review to 3 star with the clarifications, caveating they ???do not meet my expectations regarding professional duty of care, resulting in waterproofing being installed over the main contractor defective substrate??? or similar.
