   West Sussex Roofing Company were recommended to me, and with reason, as they are an excellent company. The work, which was shared with a neighbour, involved repointing the chimney stack, repairing cracked flaunching, a new cowl, and the repair of an unrelated cracked slate. Darren, the firm's owner scheduled the work for early May (2024) and the repointing was done by Aaron, Dan and Luke. However, the unexpected discovery of a seagull's nest with eggs meant the flaunching had to be postponed until after the gulls had flown in early September. Spikes were also then installed to deter gulls from future nesting; and Abe replaced the slate using a safety harness. At every stage I was shown photographs of the work, the quality of which I'm very pleased with. Darren priced the work fairly, and no extra cost was incurred for the scaffolding, even though it had to remain in place far longer than originally planned. Despite the long delays, good humour prevailed throughout. They were very friendly, tidy and polite. They turned up when they said they would, and were also very respectful regarding the protected status of seagulls. They fully deserve five stars, and I have no hesitation in recommending them as a thoroughly trustworthy and caring roofing firm.

   Recommended without Reservation It was Darren???s positivity and co-operation which got the job off the ground because from the outset the window of opportunity was small and got smaller still as a result of an unexpected development at my end. But Darren steered things around the problems and when the men arrived, scaffolders and roofers, they were both professional and friendly and knew exactly how they were going to tackle the job. So I got on with my work and they got on with theirs, showing me the photos of how things were progressing, It was effortless team work which in 2 ?? days has given an old house a thoroughly good roof repair package - emphasis on the thorough. Recommended without reservation.

   I called West Sussex Roofers in absolute desperation as my cat had been stuck on my neighbours roof for 12 hours with no sign of rescue from the RSPCA or fire brigade. Darren and his team were absolutely lovely - they came as soon as they could between jobs (about 30 mins after I called), got a ladder up straight away and manage to gently cajole a very scared cat into a carrier and down to safety in about 5 mins. Honestly I couldn???t recommend them highly enough for anyone in the same situation, and whilst I can???t speak for their other work, I wouldn???t hesitate to call them for any future roofing needs! Thank you so much again!

   West Sussex Roofing saved the day yesterday. A rainwater pipe at 2nd floor level had become disconnected from the guttering during heavy rainfall and Darren was round within the hour to have a look, gave me both short and long term advice on how to remedy it and then sent a team of 3 to fix it less than 3 hours later - super quick, super easy, very polite and courteous.... I'm a happy customer!
