I don???t write reviews like this. But Ian has genuinely set the bar so high I don???t think anyone else is going to come close. I originally asked him a simple question as an electrician; ???is this even possible???? What followed was him effectively taking over the entire project and running it better than most dedicated project managers ever could. He didn???t just turn up and do a job. He built the team. He sourced a joiner and a plasterer, organised them so everything ran in the right order without delays, and then managed all the payments between trades himself. For us, that meant one smooth, controlled process instead of juggling multiple people, invoices, and stress. He also handled Building Control from start to finish. No chasing, no confusion, no missed steps; just done properly. For a disabled household, that level of support is not a luxury, it???s the difference between something being possible or not. Ian didn???t just understand that; he adapted around it without ever making it feel like a problem. Communication was faultless. Daily updates, clear timelines, everything explained in plain English. We were never left guessing, never left waiting, and never left dealing with problems; because he???d already handled them. And this is the part you can???t teach: he???s just a genuinely decent human being. Kind, upatient, respectful, and calm no matter what came up. Nothing was ever too much. Not once. What Ian delivers is not ???an electrician service???. It???s full project ownership, accountability, and a level of care that is ridiculously rare. We trusted him in our home, with our money, and with a project that really mattered to us - and he absolutely delivered on every single part of it. If you???re comparing quotes or shopping around, stop. You???re not comparing like-for-like. Just book Ian.

Ian has done a few jobs for me. No job seems too big or too small. Is a nice fella, and gets the job done. Highly recommended.

We had a full house rewire, as well as EV charger, smoke detectors, extractor fans and Smart door bell installation. Ian was professional, friendly and helpful. He worked diligently and competently throughout. We were reassured by his work ethics, and safety and quality standards. Overall a fantastic job and we will be turning to Ian for any electrical work in the future - we highly recommend Grainger Electrics!!

Brilliant service. Friendly and professional. We had an extractor fan which didn't work well, Ian replaced it with a better one. He made sure the new one was aesthetically pleasing as well as functional. He also cleaned up before he left!

Having been let down by 3 other electricians we contacted, Ian was refreshingly different. He promptly responded to our request for a quote, kept in touch throughout and was very reliable. Whilst installing an outside floodlight, 2 outside sockets, 4 ceiling spot lights and motion sensors, he came across some unexpected challenges (some dodgy previous ceiling work). This delayed him slightly but he pressed on, rectifying the problem, even though the job took longer than originally expected. Ian was a really friendly, professional, respectful of our property and extremely helpful and patient. We would have no reservations at all in recommending him to others.
