Booked in a 2009 motorhome that had been fitted with a new Airbag ECU. The job was to proxy align the ECU to the vehicle. They were unable to connect to the vehicle and suggested that it was the age of the vehicle and the type of wiring used ( kline) I was not charged and was advised to go to North East truck and van who would have the appropriate software to resolve my problem. I contacted Northern Autotech, the company who provided the ECU, I was invited to visit his location and he would proxi align the ECU for me. Good to his word from arriving at his house to being back on the road with the ECU aligned took less than five minutes. Using a laptop and a free download, need I say any more!!!!

Took my car in with an engine light on, charged me ??135 to look at it and told me it would cost ??1,000 to fix. When I looked around and spoke to people who know about electrical faults said it was ??100 for the part we needed! Fair enough the work would cost a little bit! But ??1,000 pounds to fix and ??135 to be told this is shocking Wouldn???t recommend

I brought my Mazda here for a diagnostic related to a parking sensor issue. Unfortunately, the diagnostic fee (??150) was not clearly communicated or agreed beforehand. I was only informed of the charge after the work had already been carried out. The issue was not resolved, and I was advised to take the vehicle to the main dealer for further diagnosis. I later found that the Mazda main dealer charges ??130 for diagnostics using manufacturer equipment, which made the original fee difficult to justify. I requested a diagnostic report or fault code record, but no report was provided. The only note on the invoice stated that the diagnostic equipment could not carry out the test, which left it unclear what checks had actually been completed. After raising a complaint, the charge was reduced to ??75, which I appreciated. However, I feel this situation could have been avoided with clearer upfront communication about diagnostic charges and clearer documentation of the work carried out. One thing worth noting for other customers is that pricing and policy information was shown on a movable sign rather than being clearly visible at the start, so I would strongly recommend confirming all diagnostic costs in advance before leaving your vehicle.
