Absolutely disgusting. They booked an appointment, turned up 2 hours late, then threatened to charge me and have the money taken off my tenancy deposit. Roger is the cowboy. Edit: My agent, Philip Noble and Son weren't aware of the shockingly low review scores this company has. They are now. Given that my agent provides high quality service and i have an excellwnt relationship with them, I've recommended they disassociate themselves from this shoddy company and re-contract with a reputable firm.

Used them fine for a few years doing compliance work. Then they decided to delete my email address for some reason. This led to them not sending me an invoice - then, next time I called to book in some work, having some raging nutter try to start an argument with me on the phone about some unpaid invoice we've never seen. Could all have been avoided if the bloke had taken the time to relax about a ??90 invoice that we didn't know about. Avoid. Works have been fine for us, but the childish behavior isn't.

Avoid at all costs!! Absolutely terrible service from Roger, the MD. Refusing to issue our electrical installation certificate (for work paid in full and carried out on our own home!!) as the cowboy builder we went through (Jason Waterman - a friend of Rogers ????) is trying to withhold it to prevent us from obtaining building regs, due to an unrelated dispute. NICEIC have confirmed they???re not complying with the NICEIC scheme rules so a formal complaint has been raised. This company should not be in business!!

****Avoid at all Costs - There 2 Star rating is entirely deserved*** We used Alpha Electrical for a first and second fix on our extention. Their standard of work, accountability for dangerous mistakes and customer Service were appalling. This is a problem endemic throughout the company, starting at the very top with the MD, Roger. I am very reasonable and accept things go wrong and mistakes can be made but I also expect when this is highlighted it is resolved professionally and quickly. This was not the case. Over 10 hours writing e-mails trying to resolve the incorrect installation of a consumer Unit and Extender completely unnecessarily. They removed a Consumer Unit with RCBO's and downgrade the entire system to RCD's. In?? simple terms they took our Electrics back 10 years. When challenged, we were told we weren't electricians! It took the fact we were going to have it independently accessed for them to admit they had carried out unecessary work. We had to give them the opportunity to remedy the situation in accordance with NICEIC direction but I would never use this company again.

Fitted a new consumer unit but did not fit a surge protector at the same time! Multi-coloured cable warning labels were not affixed to the consumer unit either (bad practices). They have not considered that i have lots of voltage sensitive electronic equipment here. Other electricians fit surge protectors to consumer units as standard without the need to do a "risk assessment". Current 18th Edition standards pretty much state that it should be fitted. 18th Edition requirements for surge protection The arrival of the 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations further reshapes the regulatory landscape for electrical contractors. A number of important areas have been scrutinised and reviewed; among them is the issue of surge protection and devices designed to mitigate any excess voltage risks. Surge protection devices (SPDs) are designed to prevent electric shock and having excess voltage damaging the installation???s wiring infrastructure. Should an over-voltage event occur, the SPD diverts the resulting excess current flow to Earth. Regulation 443.4 requires, (except for single dwelling units where the total value of the installation and equipment therein does not justify such protection), that protection against transient over-voltages is provided where the consequence caused by over-voltage could result in serious injury, damage to culturally sensitive places, interruption of supply or affect large numbers of co-located persons or loss of life.
