An excellent service. Neil is my definite go to when I have appliance issues.

Although Neil is a genuinely nice person, my experience with him professionally was disappointing and I will be hesitant to use his services again. I owned a washing machine for over 20 years and invested a lot into restoring and maintaining it. The machine was in immaculate condition internally ??? the drum, bearings area and electronics were all well cared for ??? and I had electricians available if any specialist work (capacitors, etc.) was required. I am also active in repair cafes and strongly believe in repairing to reduce waste, so I was prepared to do what I could to keep this well-made machine running but I didn???t have the strength to fix it. Neil had worked on this model many times and was my last hope for a successful repair when the bearings failed. He attempted the job but struggled to remove a heavily seized pulley. After trying various methods, he gave up. The next day I arranged for a car mechanic friend to remove the pulley in the hope that the repair could continue. Given that Neil had previously said he???d replaced bearings as quick as 30 minutes, I expected him to try again ??? but he became reluctant. His tone on the phone suggested he wasn???t keen to continue, and I felt a lack of reassurance and poor customer communication. That combination led me to stop pursuing the repair and buy a new machine. Losing that old washer was upsetting ??? it felt like losing a classic car ??? and I was especially disappointed by the lack of moral support and encouragement from him. I also noted Neil???s other interests: he teaches medieval history and runs a group called Bowlore, a medieval history re-enactment group, which clearly seems to be where his passion lies. Perhaps he would be happier focusing on that if electrical repair no longer brings him satisfaction. In the end, I???ve had to move on with a new machine from someone who originally sold me the old one and he offered kind and comforting words about my loss, which was exactly the support I needed in that moment. I wish Neil well personally, but as a customer I can???t recommend his services based on this experience.

Neil was very friendly, he arrived promptly and completed the job in no time at all. We would definitely recommend him and will use him again.
