Used players plumbing for a few years now he???s put a wet room in refurbished bathroom toilet kitchen sink out side taps all new radiators and towel rails . Great work always reliable polite always communicates what???s happening cleans up after himself 10/10 no problems after highly recommend

We chose Players Plumbing to install a walk-in shower, based on his 100% 5 star online reviews, and a recommendation from a bathroom store. As I am disabled, a safe walk-in shower facility was essential. Players Plumbing left us with a litany of issues (see photos). He failed to honour his own written company terms and conditions regarding guaranteed workmanship and materials. We supplied 90% of the materials, now beyond retrievable use, especially the wall, and ceiling panels. Everything must be removed and rebuilt as he failed to plumb and square the walls of our old barn prior to installation. Due to unprofessional silicon applications, black mould developed rapidly, regardless of good ventilation (he left holes which are not watertight, trims left without sufficient adhesive causing water to egress the walls, messy uneven lines of silicon, thick, thin, lumpy and corners filled like chewed gum. He applied silicon to the base hinge of the flipper door! What kind of professional puts silicone on moving parts!) He supplied a damaged shower tray, leaving it skewed and asymmetrical to the walls (he blamed us for the damage). He smashed the glass shower screen, which exploded into the tray (and into other rooms off the hallway) which most likely caused the damage to the tray! He also boasted and laughed about accidentally breaking the shower glass on Instagram, having lied to us, that it was a rare phenomenon that can happen with shower glass! He benevolently offered to refund us for a new one! In his post, he implied design ownership. Design was not attributable to him in any format. He did not seek our permission to take these photos and post them publicly to promote his business. The photos he took look good, which is the initial impression we had, until you start looking a little closer, in real time. The ceiling, wall panels and trims appear hacked, chopped or snapped off in places rather than measured and sawn with precision and accuracy. The entire installation is "wonky" and unfit for purpose. TBF though, Player's offered to pay a 3rd party plumber to fix it, but capped the costs at the original quoted amount, which does not cover the damage to our property or the materials supplied by us, that can't be reused. We don???t know what is going on under the tray, where the majority of the mould appears to be coming from. A 3rd party, will require additional payment to dismantle his work, assess and rectify the faults once the tray has been lifted and the walls cleared, then we need to re-purchase all the ruined materials. We don't have the finances to cover the costs again. He is not prepared to cover the additional costs, caused by his lack of care and skills. Players Plumbing has left us in an untenable situation. As I am disabled, the walk in shower was meant to make my life easier, not worse. He has not honoured his own terms and conditions or guarantees. He is in breach of contract. He failed to provide the skilled workmanship for us, that he provided for others who confirm his (100%, 5 star) professionalism. He gave us, the absolute opposite! I would award no stars, but he did swap the old toilet over without any issues to date. Therefore, I award one star. We have been working with Trading Standards and CAB, but he has ignored all attempts to negotiate even under mediation. Therefore resolution will be up to the courts. It is however, very strange that the work he did for us, belies the exemplary 5 star online reviews that he has across all sites? This appears to be the only negative review attributed to Player's Plumbing online or anywhere else? What on earth is going on here? It does not make any sense at all.

Lewis has never let us down - the complete opposite in fact. He has created the most amazing bathroom for us, but has also turned out during his busy weeks, to help with other problems we've had. He's a great trader to deal with, to have in your home, and trustworthy and reliable. Gutted to write all this as we'd prefer to keep him a secret!! Thanks again Lewis. Total gem ????
