   Tom and Leena were fantastic throughout our entire loft conversion. Tom was one of four companies we invited to quote, and he immediately stood out—he wasn’t pushy or sales-driven, and instead took the time to really understand our vision for the space. From that initial visit right through to the finishing touches, everything was handled with care and professionalism. Tom was always responsive and helped us problem-solve any issues that came up, ensuring the final result truly matched what we had in mind. The contractors they brought in—including the electricians, plumbers, and plasterers—were all excellent, and I genuinely can’t fault the quality of their work. It felt like a truly personal, family-run experience, which really showed in both the craftsmanship and the communication throughout the project.    Amazing experience with Crown - Tom and Lina have created a quality team that works seamlessly together and are all friends. They do go above and beyond to help and the quality of all the trades is very obvious in the workmanship and conscientiousness. Dave our lead builder was unbelievably knowledgable and skilled, and a genuinely lovely guy. He can literally do anything you ask him to and it never seems too much. Dave has created a beautiful space for us and our new family member (newborn baby son) just in time for Christmas!    Tom, Lina, Dave and Rhys have been exceptional from start to finish. Initial steps / consultation: Tom conducted himself like a partner from the start, rather than a sales focused development adviser. We got quotes from 4 other large companies - all reputable in their own right but did not hold the gravitas that Tom commands. Tom’s demeanour showcased the quality of all the people at Crown, and who work with Crown - no shortcuts, professional, kind, focused, respectful. Design: full width flat room dormer at the rear, with 3 skylights and a front dormer in the middle of our house, with a Feature window on both gable ends. Crowns architect team were flexible with some design ideas and Tom engaged in ideas with the architect too. Build planning: due to planning issues our build commencement was up in the air and ultimately pushed back by about 6 months. Tom kept up communication and again, it felt like a partnership. Build: our build team was Dave and Rhys. I cannot speak more highly of the two of them. The care they exhibited over the 3 build months would make one think they were building their own home. You can see they care about their work. The speed they work at is incredible. Dave and Lina also expertly dealt with building control from start to end. Dave was also able to call in various favours from tradesman to ensure we stayed on track. His advice throughout made the space into the practical and beautiful space it is today. Build troubleshooting: there are always build issues when you’re building something substantive. We had a few but Dave, Tom, Rhys and Lina (and all the contractors) dealt with issues quickly and logically. Case in point, when our feature bedroom window was out by a few centimetres, Dave was back on a Saturday, 24 hours later, to sort it (and it was sorted in a day). Contractors: all of the contractors were excellent and well coordinated by Crown. Again, it was an example of them all behaving with skin in the game. Lina came into her own here with managing the diary. Pricing: We wanted to have a well thought through, tailored and flexible team to support us with our loft extension and didn’t therefore go for the very cheapest quote. Saying that, Crown were incredibly competitive on price. What sets Tom and Crown further apart in pricing is the breakdown they provide, both at the start and just prior to build commencement. It’s several pages and the detail is awesome I.e you can see how they price the supply and fit of a door.

   The most outstanding company, throughout the whole project. Tom and Lina have been delightful to deal with, and Darren our builder was fantastic - a pleasure to have on site. Nothing pushy at all during the sales process, clear communication and scheduling every step of the way. Nothing was ever too much trouble, any issues/queries we had along the way were immediately resolved with no fuss.    I can't recommend Crown Developments enough. We have a fantastic new loft bedroom with library and bathroom and the finish is fantastic. Our builders Leigh and Tom were an absolute pleasure to have on site - trustworthy and reliable. They were also really responsive when we needed to communicate out of hours and I knew when they were going to be here and what they were planning to do each day. A local friend of mine decided to go for a more established (and more expensive) loft company and she deeply regrets not choosing Crown. The finish of her loft, especially materials used for the staircase, are really bad in comparison to what we achieved with Crown. Her loft conversion also came in at £10K over budget where ours was spot on with the original quote from Crown. When issues did arrive the team were able to deal with them swiftly and professionally. I had a number of more bespoke requests like built-in storage in the bathroom and a library area - these were all easily accommodated despite being slightly unusual. I have had many compliments about how lovely the loft conversion looks from the outside, "like it has always been there". Re-using our existing roof tiles helped create a really seamless exterior for the dormer. Very happy customer :)
